I got this for my 6 y.o. grandson for Christmas and he loves it. He had just gotten interested in LEGO's. I thought maybe he might be too young for this particular set but his dad helped just a bit to get him started. He just started reading but can read anything so he did read the directions. He's very proud of what he put together and likes to show it off. I think LEGO gifts is in his future.
